From a young age, Antonio demonstrated a passion for jewellery making. At just 14 he began working in his grandfather Domenico Decandia’s workshop in Naples, honing some of the most remarkable skills synonymous with the Colicchio family. Skills that would shape his future. His first creation, a delicate flower crafted from copper wire, earned him a place in the family trade and ignited a lifelong dedication to the art of jewellery. Seeking new horizons, Antonio moved to New York equipped with the knowledge and artistry passed down from his family, to work with the prestigious Verdura jewellery house. While there he discovered that he had been crafting jewellery pieces on Salvador Dalí’s personal bench - a connection that underscored his connection with a lineage of iconic creators. As his own exceptional skills caught the attention of leading diamond dealers, paving the way for collaborations on beautifully bespoke pieces.

Eventually, Antonio established his own workshop in London’s Hatton Garden, the city’s premier jewellery district, where he created pieces for some of the biggest brands across the globe. Today, FERRARA jewellery is celebrated for its timeless elegance, intricate craftsmanship, and a heritage that spans over 150 years. In addition, with Antonio’s two sons Alessandro and Francesco joining him, it provides for a bright future in carrying forward the FERRARA legacy. From Naples to New York to London, Antonio Ferrara’s journey is a testament to the enduring power of family, tradition, and artistry. After years of crafting some of the most exquisite jewellery, the family has now created their own brand - FERRARA - as a celebration of their remarkable heritage and unwavering commitment to excellence .
